Welcome to

Grace Yang
Gymnastics & Ballet Academy

Hi, I’m Grace, founder of the Grace Yang Gymnastics & Ballet Academy!

I’ve spent a lifetime in the world of gymnastics and dance, and I’ve always loved passing on my knowledge and helping my students be their very best. I joined my first dance academy when I was nine years old, where I studied for six years and was lucky to earn numerous honours and awards during that time.

I soon fell in love with competitive gymnastics, and when I moved to Australia in 1994, I devoted myself to teaching young Australian gymnasts and developing new coaching techniques.

My dancing background

lent itself to my coaching, where I took aspects of ballet dance and incorporated it into my gymnastics training programs. I’ve been lucky to use this new strategy to coach over 1000 students and even luckier to see that these new techniques and training have significantly improved their performance, with some even reaching Olympic-level success.

Seeing my students grow and shine is the whole reason I started this coaching journey!

Some of my students who I’ve been lucky enough to coach to an Olympic level include:

Georgia Benora (2008 Beijing Olympics Australian team) & (2012 London Olympics Australian team)

Shorna Morgan (2008 Beijing Olympics Australian team)

Emma Dennis (2008 Beijing Olympics Australian team)

Angela Donald (2010 Junior Olympics)

Emily Whitehead (2018 World Cup) & (Commonwealth Games)

Romi Brown (2019 World Cup)

Talia Folino & Kate McDonald (2019 World Championships)

With the establishment of my passion project, the Grace Yang Gymnastics & Ballet Academy, I now get the opportunity to teach aspiring gymnasts all over the world and pass on my love and passion for the beautiful art of gymnastics and ballet.
